Client:
Premier Bank of Tallahassee
Project: Branch Banks
in Bradfordville, Florida and Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee
Cost: $750,000 / $800,000
Status: Built
Delivery: Bid
Description: 2,500
sf and 3,500 sf branch banks. The Bradfordville Bank was done first
and the design had to respond to strict town guidelines which dictated
a traditional vernacular style. I chose to do a turn-of-the-century
stylized cracker building with wrap around porches, 16' high ceilings,
clapboard siding, heart pine floors and other such details that
would have been common with this genre.
The bank
now uses this design for all their new ground-up branches.
As with
all my projects of this scale, I produced 100% of the architectural,
structural, mechanical and electrical drawings. The 35 page set
was produced in 2 months and used an index system which was hot-linked
to a web data sheet. Included in this hot-link were the manufacturer's
name, product info and cost. This was very helpful to the estimator
and a big reason why 4 bids were only $60,000 apart on the $750,000
bank and $40,000 apart on the $800,000 project! That and tight detailing.
See for your yourself.
